CASE issued the following statement this morning regarding attempts by some in Congress to use corona virus emergency funding to advance socialist healthcare policies:
“As the United States faces the prospect of a COVID-19 outbreak, some in Congress are leveraging the urgency and severity of the situation to force through failed socialist healthcare policies in a pending emergency funding package. Not only has socialized medicine failed everywhere it has been tried, but it has also failed so far in Congress. Funding to fight corona virus must not be held hostage to politics and misguided price control schemes. The American people need innovation and access to treatment now more than ever, and Consumer Action for a Strong Economy (CASE) urges the passage of a clean funding bill immediately.”
