Consumer Group Applauds FCC Chairman Pai’s Net Neutrality Framework
Consumers for A Strong Economy (CASE) strongly supports FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s announcement today outlining his framework for net neutrality, which accomplishes the urgent priorities of protecting consumers while also freeing the internet from utility-style regulation. The internet remains the most prized resource for both technical innovation and economic transformation, and it accomplished this through government policies which, until recently, left it alone to serve consumers in the marketplace.
Chairman Pai’s approach is absolutely the correct one. Pulling back the regulatory reigns on the will restore the internet to its rightful place as an open and fair marketplace, and will undoubtedly help unleash a flood of new investment, experimentation, and innovation that will benefit us all.
