Today CASE released a coalition letter to Energy Secretary Rick Perry on behalf of more than 20 organizations urging the Trump Administration to take an active role in promoting America’s technology innovations in energy.
Currently the U.S. is the world leader in High Efficiency Low Emission technology (HELE), and Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS), two key developments that make coal-powered energy both cleaner and more efficient, making it perfectly suited to both revitalize coal energy here at home and also export abroad to assist developing nations with their growing energy needs.
The coalition represents consumers from a broad and bi-partisan spectrum. All share the common vision of a strong and coherent U.S. energy policy that puts consumers first by realizing the promise of abundant energy powered by new, cleaner, and more efficient technology.
As noted in the letter, HELE and CCUS technology “will enable the United States to become a world leader in the global clean energy initiative… This is the kind of energy policy the energy policy the American people have been waiting for: one that creates American jobs, ensures consumers have access to affordable and reliable energy options, and brings cleaner, more efficient energy to the people of the United States and around the world.”
