With the naming of Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to head the EPA, President-elect Donald J. Trump has nominated a champion of U.S. consumers, according to CASE President Matthew Kandrach.
“Scott Pruitt is a pragmatic and forceful advocate for reasonable environmental policies that don’t crush American energy production and who is squarely on the side of America’s consumers,” said Kandrach.
“His work and his background underscore a public servant committed to property rights, less government, and a healthy skepticism of the regulatory status quo which has done immense damage to our economy, our energy security and to working Americans across our nation.
“CASE strongly supports his confirmation, and we are firmly convinced that he is the right person to return the EPA to its rightful purpose of safeguarding America’s environment and dismantling the regulatory police state now strangling our nation’s economy.”
