The economic giants of tomorrow are the small businesses and start-ups of today. Small business contributes immeasurably to not only America’s job growth, but also to the innovations that improve our quality of life and give consumers power through greater choices. It stands as a sad tragedy that many more start-up businesses fail than ever realize a profit, and a significant culprit in this reality is excessive government regulation. The federal government is averaging well over 800 new regulatory rules and restrictions each year that impact small business, federal rules which are piled upon the enormous regulations business owners already face on the state and local level. As each new regulation is applied, business costs go up, resulting in higher prices for consumers or “out of business” signs in a store front window.
CASE is dedicated to championing start-ups and entrepreneurs through a concerted campaign to eliminate these crushing regulations and give small business a chance to succeed. Bureaucrats who have never risked capital or started a business have for too long been in the driver’s seat, dictating to America’s small businesses the rules of the road. Our efforts to cut needless regulations will help put America’s entrepreneurs, investors and risk takers back in control of our economic future.
