Leaders on Capitol Hill are making a last-ditch effort to include price controls in the social spending package despite significant pushback from patients and lawmakers across parties. Granting the government power to set prices for specific drugs dispensed through Medicare Part B and Medicare Part D would only starve innovation. Congress must oppose any form of price controls disguised as Medicare “negotiation” that would rob patients of access to new cures while also impacting jobs and starving state economies dependent on drug manufacturing.
