Consumer Action for a Strong Economy (CASE) — the nation’s preeminent free-market consumer advocacy organization – today issued the following statement in support of the re-authorization of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Said CASE President Matthew Kandrach:
“If Congress doesn’t act soon, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) will run out of funds. CHIP is a state-based program that keeps children out of the Obamacare exchanges and off Medicaid, saving the taxpayer money while helping keep children healthy.
“In addition, the CHIP bill coming up for a vote partially defunds Obamacare’s public health fund. We urge Congress to reauthorize CHIP.”
